ah, not much new going on for me. of course the war started, which is terribly sad. i have to admit though, its nicer to be on the side with the big bombs than to be on the bombee side. well, i guess it is. i've never been shot at, but i can imagine it sucks ass.

i think the "criminal bush junior" (honestly, how funny is that?! makes him sound like a character will farrel (sp) would have played on saturday night live) would have had a leg to stand on if he'd just approached this right. he keeps talking about protecting us from terror (note to george: 9/11=osama, not saddam) and that this is a preemptive strike. wouldnt it have made more sense to talk about what a bastard saddam is, that he gassed his own people, and that we're doing this for them? i think he would have gotten a lot more sympathy for his cause, and more support from the left (not that that matters to him, obviously)

i think i'm most afraid of what this will do to us in the long run. instead of being a superpower who will support justice and democracy (at least on paper. i know we're not perfect) now we're very obviously bullies who use pre-emptive strikes to get what we want, regardless of what other countries think. (hello...the UN is there for a reason)

one thing i've learned from this is that network and cable news sucks utterly. i'm tired of seeing "pretty" people report the slanted news. i want homely folk who are fair and impartial. so far the closest i've gotten to that is cspan, but they still allow regular joes to call in and voice their opinion, which pains me sometimes. at least the regular joes calling cspan and a little more thoughtful than those calling some of the more "entertaining" new programs.

enough for now. stay safe, stock up on duct tape, and hope for the best.
