new since october...lots, actually. here are so highlights, in semi chronological order:
willie nelson and toby keith were big fun. of course i love willie more, but toby wasnt bad (i'll probably get kicked out of the TK fanclub for that. yes, thats right, i said fanclub. i joined so i could get better tickets. i'm smat! lol) everyone had a great time, and we got to hear them sing 'beer for my horses' together.
found out i'm going to be an auntie! woohoo! baby is due in june, so i'm v excited about that. i will be the only auntie on either side, so stand back and watch me work, people; the spoilin' is going to be awe inspiring.
got a new job!! very excited about this. loved my old job, but it was a nowhere gig. i'd been at Small Midwestern Community Collegefor about 7 years, so it was time for a change. new job is with another, Farther South Small Midwestern Community College. its a consortium of four campuses, and i'm going to be working at each. there will be a lot of driving, but im looking forward to it. did i mention the pay is better? :) right now i'm living at the 'rents house, and also staying at a friends place at the other end of the district, when i'm at the northernmost schools. i start jan 5th, so i've got less than a week of vaca left. wish me luck! i'm bloody well gonna need it...
i will/do miss my SMCC friends. :( thats the only bad part. hopefully though once things settle i'll be able to run up and visit for weekends. i've been assured i have rooms to stay in :)
