what a wacky monday....
first, i woke up to more dog puke. my dog, for some reason, took it upon herself to eat foam earplugs. i'm not kidding. she's yacked up three so far. yesterday my roommate, who is a far nicer person than me, was petting her and being kind and telling her it was going to be ok, while i stomped around the house screaming "YOU ATE FUCKING EARPLUGS! WHO EATS AN EARPLUG?! HOW GOOD CAN AN EARPLUG TASTE? YOU ARE THE STUPIDEST FUCKING DOG EVER!" and this was before i figured out she'd eaten more than one. she really is lucky to not have choked on them while they were going down or coming back up. who knows if she's got more stuck in her gut. well, its christian science city as far as the dog is concerned...much as i love her, if God doesn't heal her she's on her way to the big Farm in the Sky. stupid dog.
Then, when I got to work I found out my dear friend Laura's brother has pretty much been given the "we can't help you anymore" speech from his doctors. it could be weeks, it could be months. she's very upset, obviously. i feel terrible for her.
THEN (yes, there's more) my brother emails and my sister in law was told today she's being laid off at the end of july. first of all, today is her first day back after vacation AND their wedding anniversary. sucks. she's taking it all pretty well though, and i have a feeling something really good will come of it all. she's got many options, and she seems to be hanging on to her sense of humor. i told her she should answer the phone "lame duck speaking"
The weekend was great...wacky mom and aunt were here on friday and they stayed with me, which i love. not much room for them at the house, but i tried to make them comfy as possible. then missy and ellie came saturday. i love my little goddaughter, and i wished i lived closer to her. they're still threatening to move to the other side of missouri, which makes me terribly sad. i see ellie every month or so now, and i'm going to hate not seeing her whenever i want.
must go. final day of microsoft proctoring. whee!
