Yay! its september! i love september. i love fall. and apparently i hate capitalization. i'm lazy. sue me.

class is going as well as can be expected. i'm already tired of driving to charleston 2 days a week, but i'd still rather be in a classroom than taking online classes. oh, and in one class i'm the OLDEST person (besides the teacher). they're all children. at first it was kind of distressing. now im too tired to care. i think i like being the old person. perhaps i'll start wearing a shawl and starting sentances with 'back in my day...'

Brother and SIL are in their new house. its lovely, and we're all very glad they're out of the 'hood. now Curly Sue can play outside without fear of getting cut on a broken crackpipe. nice! heres a semi new picture of her:

isnt she perfect?! she's hilarious. she's running now. not walking, running. she speeds along at a breakneck pace with her little arms thrown behind her. i say its because she's more aerodynamic that way! she also likes to spin in circles, then run. the best thing about class is that on Thursdays i get to run out and visit with her after class.

M. had baby G about, oh, a month ago. i'm still working on her blankie. i finally found some yarn i liked and i'm just making the same old 'washcloth' blankie i've made for everyone else. the washcloth blankie is just a good, non-fancy blankie. i may never stray from it. someday i'll post a picture of it.

I did finish the booga bag! i cant really carry it yet though, because its a rather autumnal handbag. the colors are fall-ish, and since its wool it makes me hot when i carry it. (stop laughing) below are pictures of the booga pre-felting, needlefingers and i with the damp, felted booga's on our heads, and the boogas in their final form. i decided to make mine into a little tote instead of crimping the sides in and i'm really happy with it.

kittyboy wanted in the pic too! needlefinger's and her Honey's cat...you know, i think he has an official name, but we always just call him kittyboy. this picture gives you an idea of how big the booga was before we toasted it in the washer.

fetching! notice how needlefingers used the straps as faux-dreads.

how precious! are those not the cutest bags you ever did see? you want one too..i know you do. buy me the Noro Kureyon and i'll make you one! i could use the practice.

i'm kind of getting over being all bent out of shape about Katrina. so glad i got to go to NO last summer and see it pre-Katrina. we took a festive little van tour of the area, and because we went all over EVERYTHING on the news looks familiar. our little tour guide told us all NO being in a 'bowl' and the levees and whatnot. i wonder what happened to him. i hope he's ok. there are a few people i remember from that trip, and i really hope they are all ok.

i *promise* i'll post pictures of Baby G's blankie later (stop rolling your eyes).
