I decided today to ask for tomorrow off. Permission granted! I'm going to do some work stuff and maybe a little reading, but at least I get to do it all in my jammies.

Got a present in the mail today. Ragged and I have discussed how much we love to get mail, even if its something we bought for ourselves. Over a week ago I ordered some tea from Teavana. The original plan was to get their spiffy little perfect tea maker and a couple of teas to try. The teamaker is like a Pyrex measuring cup with a lid and a little mechanism on the bottom. You toss tea and hot water in the top, close the lid, let it steep, then put the whole shebang on top of a cup. When you set it on top, the little mechanism in the bottom triggers and allows the tea to flow into the cup, and all the little tea bits to stay in the tea maker. Genius. Having said all that, I didn't end up buying one. Instead a got a whole boatload of tea. I had a tasty cup of peach oolong first thing, and I think later I might make a little pot of Night Night, a lovely little chamomile with some other goodness in it.

The documentary Spellbound is just wonderful. If you get the chance to see it, do. Its a few years old, and its all about eight kids who go to the national spelling bee. I thought it would be kind of a freakshow, but its surprisingly sweet. I bawled thru half of it.
