More fuss about nothing.

I can work myself into a tizzy about anything. My current tizzy involves homework, of course. I've got an annotated bibliography to do. Its really not complicated...just a lot of reading boring journal articles then writing about 150 words on each to sum up how you'll use it in your research. Just pick a topic and go!

Trouble is, I can't seem to settle on a topic. I've flipped between 3 or 4 random topics, and I can't seem to get a feel for any of them. My library research isn't going nearly as well as I'd like.

I finally emailed my professor with some lame, vague idea that I really don't care for. It bothers me because if I was smart, i'd settle on a thesis topic and make all my other class assignments fit into it. Because I am part time and will be in school for-freakin-ever, I'm having a hard time committing to a topic. And I'll be honest; I just feel kind of out in left field all by myself, and this is not a good place for me. Some people get all pissy when they've got to fit into some kind of structure, but I've always liked rules and limits. I like to be given clear instructions and know what I'm supposed to do. Maybe I should have been in the military.

But there are happier things to look forward to. This morning I ordered tickets to go see John Mellencamp. Big thanks to Ragged for even mentioning it yesterday. I had no idea he was touring at all right now.

Good luck in finding a topic. Sometimes you just need to bite the bullet and commit. It would make your next assignments that much easier to decide on. If memory serves me, almost everyone is totally sick of the topic they're locked into by the end anyway. The children do have the advantage of being more "immersed" in it than you can be. The class a semester schedule just seems torturous to me.

Just know that you have my undying admiration and respect with the school thing.

If you get really desperate, just take a hunting trip with Cheney...you could be on the Republican payoff, er I mean payroll for life. Sweet!!!
