Springfield
I am going to lovely, one-far-ass-drive-away Springfield MO tomorrow for a conference. We're turning right back around Friday and driving back. When I've mentioned I'm going to Springfield, almost everyone I've talked to has cried "Bass Pro!" So I guess the thing to do is go to Bass Pro. I think there's a yarn shop a short way down from the Bass Pro. I'll just be printing out that information now.I had yet another round of gummi's for lunch today. What's wrong with me?! only 1/4 of a lb this time. 8 Points!

I can completely understand the yarn thing. I've finished ONE thing, and I want MORE!!!! Why didn't my cousin warn me about how damn expensive this hobby can be. Oh, why can't I just be happy with the Red Heart Super-Saver crap? You'll have to let me know what you get. I'll have no idea what you're talking about, but tell me anyway.

I dont know how anyone can deal with the red heart super saver crap. cheap yarn doesnt *feel* good! i knitted marley's blankie with an acceptable acrylic baby yarn from red heart. I thought it was ok at the time, but now when i feel it, it just feels plastic. I think i'll make her a new one of some nicer yarn. I hope the jelli beenz ages well and doesnt feel like it was made of recycled tires after its been washed. cheap crappy yarn makes knitting not fun, so whats the point of using it?
right now kristi and i are dying to get our hands on some Noro Transitions (Crazy Aunt Purl was raving about it) and its 25 bucks a skein. but not only does it change color, but it also changes texture, from alpaca to something wonderful to something else wonderful...i cant wait to get a feel of it.
no yarn in springfield. hmph. i was too busy and traveling with too many people to sneak away and yarn shop.
