Happy Rabid Consumerism Day!
Now, anyone who knows me well enough knows I like to shop. I am almost always up for indulging in a little retail therapy. But this Christmas shopping shit? Its got to stop. I'm tired of Christmas already, and its not even December. I'm sick of people freaking out and going into debt over Christmas. Consider me Scrooge-like til December 26th.Thanksgiving was yesterday, which means that Curly Sue was here! She was her perfectly adorable self all day, her crazy curly hair pulled up in two little mini-pigtails on top of her head. When the clippies holding up the pigtails came out later in the day, her hair stuck straight up. It was majestic. Here she is, early in the day, piggies still intact.
Neener had her baby Tuesday. Everything went well and mama and baby are both in good shape. I think, since the tike came so close to Thanksgiving, I'll be calling her Sweet Potato here. Sweet Tater is a perfectly petite 5 lbs. The blankie I made her and finished a month ago is still in my car, so perhaps I should get that mailed...
I got a few rows done on a keyhole scarf, but other than that I haven't been knitting. My time has been taken up by work (which gets busy at the most inconvenient times) and worrying about my wretched homework. This weekend is my knuckle-down-and-get-this-stuff-done weekend. So maybe I should get off the computer and go do something constructive.
Tonight I get to see Kim (Musicgeek) at our annual fambly gathering. Fun! Maybe I'll knit a little there. When I'm not stuffing food in my face, of course. (has anyone noticed the lack of posts regarding Weight Watchers online? Thats because, I, uh, completely forget to do it. Whoops!)
I hope everyone is having a lovely holiday, and if not, may those who made their holiday miserable be struck with the Curse of Byron (scroll down and read the storm day post).

She's beautiful. I love that hair!
You can't do Weight Watchers over a holiday. It's impossible!

It was so nice to see you and your folks at Thanksgiving. Now I'm up to my eyeballs in Xmas...
