swag!

here is a craptacular picture of all my yarn-a-palooza swag. its dark, the crazy bedspread is distracting, and you cant see how pretty the Noro Silk Garden is. Its a lovey purple-y, pink-, and every shade in between-y color.

I should be writing an article critique right now. Why must I procrastinate so?

I started the Coney Island Fireworks scarf, and since I'm lazy and dont bother with such trivial things as gauge or math or planning or anything, I suddenly realized last night that i'm almost out of the 'fireworks' componant of the scarf, while the scarf itself is still too short and just a wee bit too wide. I'll be ripping it out and re-doing it to make it about half as wide.

I've read on other blogs (esp crazy cat loving knitters blogs) that the cats love a treat called Greenies. I was at the feed store the other day, getting some old dog dogfood for my old dog, when I noticed they have dog Greenies. Since I'm a closet crazy dog lady, I didn't think twice about buying them for FuzzyButt (even though they were, erm, a bit pricy). She's currently holed up under the bed, loudly devouring one. They're supposed to make her stank breath more tolerable. I'd gladly pay double for them if that claim proves true.

Random product review. Have I discussed how much I love Aquaphor lotion? Its this thick goo that you can rub into your hands (and especially around your nails and cuticles) before you go to bed to combat any kind of winter weather cracking and chap-edness. You can also use it as lip balm, on any randomly dry area, and once I even used a tiny bit to tame my crazy 'straight but frizzy' hair. Miraculous! If you see the teeny tiny tube of it grab a few of them and stow one in your handbag and put a little tube everywhere you settle. Trust me. Oh, and grab a few for me. I'll pay you back. Honest!
